in the not susceptible photo, taken in the backer half of last night’s round, ucla players kevin be in love with, darren collison, russell westbrook and josh shipp are laughing as they watch their bench-warmer teammates toying with mississippi valley state. ucla won, 70-29, and mississippi valley state’s essence total was the lowest in an ncaa tournament game since the field expanded to 64. yes, it was an immoral performance by the 16-seeded delta devils, a deportment that was in sharp contrast to the other little-known squad bewitching on a college basketball powerhouse mould incessantly, as 15-seed belmont gave duke all it could handle. the play in california has a great dispatch nearby this subject: why is it that 16 seeds can’t play like 15 seeds? yes, obviously, when the selection committee does its job properly, 15 seeds are better teams than 16 seeds, and playing lesser competition. but does that in the end resolve why the 1 seeds always throb 16 seeds and barely always blow them completely, while 2 seeds over again struggle against 15 seeds and sometimes even conquered to them? are 15 seeds that much raise than 16 seeds, and are 2 seeds that much worse than 1 seeds?perhaps. or possibly the 16 seeds, because of the history of previous 16 seeds, believe they have no occasion likelihood and play accordingly, while the 15 seeds, because of the depiction of previous 15 seeds, believe they can be the cinderella and play accordingly. i don’t be aware. but i do know that belmont-duke is a game that fans will remember for years, and mississippi valley ceremonial-ucla is a amusement that handful fans even bothered to watch in the second half. it’d be nice if mount st. mary’s and texas-arlington could play like belmont today, but i cause a feeling they’ll play like mississippi valley position.permalink email this comments
